State Bank of India(SBI) – the largest public sector bank in India has announced recruitment of 6100 clerks for its associate banks.Bankexamsindia.com had speculated about this SBI recruitment last week.
Position – Vacancies – Payscale :
Clerk – 6000 posts (in 5 associate banks) – Rs.7200/-/Rs.19300
can apply for vacancies in any one bank only.
Dates : Online registration of applications – 01.10.2010 to 01.11.2010
Payment of fees - 01.10.2010 to 30.10.2010
Written exam - 16.01.2011
Eligibility : Those interested to apply for clerk jobs in SBI associate banks ,
* Must be 18 - 28 years of age, as on 1.10.2010
* Completed 12th std. with 60% marks OR Diploma (after 10th) with 60% OR
Degree (UG) with 40% aggregate, as on 1.10.2010
* Fluency in english (write/ speak) is required.
* Knowledge of local language is desired.
Procedure: The selection process for clerk posts in SBI associate banks involves Written test & Interview.The written test is Objective type & there is no descriptive test.
# Negative mark would be given for every wrong answer & candidates have to score minimum marks in each paper.
# A merit list of high ranking candidates would be prepared & called for Interview in the ratio of 1:3 (over 18000 candidates).Details on selection and clerk exam pattern will be posted in the coming days at www.bankexamsindia.com
